Homemade sloppy joes

1 pound ground turkey or beef
1 Tbsp worcester sauce
1 small yellow onion-Diced
1medium red bell pepper-Diced
3 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder
1tsp yellow mustard
salt to taste( about 1 tsp salt)
black pepper to taste (1 tbsp pepper) - I love pepper!

Brown meat ( if you use hamburger u will need to drain the fat, if you use turkey there should be no fat to drain)
once meat is cooked, add in diced onion, bell pepper & garlic. Cook a few minutes, until onion & peppers start to get soft.
Then add ketchup, stir until combined
then add salt & pepper & mix well
Then add water & stir in.
next add brown sugar, chili powder & mustard- combined well.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes.

I also like to toast the buns for this :)

We had it with the pasta salad I made the night before :)
Always a big hit!
