Well Mareks hair was getting a little to crazy! It was bothering him & in his eyes so we decided to try and trim up the front. I think we did good job ;)

40 weeks!

Still no baby! My due date is officially Saturday. & I have an OB appt on Friday. So I am interested to see what happens.

Today is also deons 33rd birthday! He had to work but after we went out to dinner at Lure fish house (yummy) and then came back home for some ice cream cake!

Baja Fish Tacos

3 talapia

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp paprika 

1/2 tsp chili powder

(if you wanted it more spicy add a pinch of chaeyne pepper)

Slaw:
1lb shredded cabbage

1/2 c sour cream

1 1/2 Tablespoon vinegar  

1 teaspoon white sugar
( mixed all of the slaw together and then taste it, it should be a little tangy, may have to play with it a little bit to get the taste u want)

corn tortillas
fresh cilantro
fresh limes
salsa

Make the slaw in a bowl, chop up cabbage and add sour cream and vinegar mix very well, stick in fridge while u cook fish.

 Cook fish in Pan with a little olive oil. Use all the spices on the fish. Cook til it flakes, only about 3 mins on each side.

I also usually cook black beans to stick in the tacos. And cook mexi rice for the side.    These r are family favorite!

 

39 week check up

What an eventful afternoon we had. At my appt my blood pressure was elevated to the point that my doctor was worried that I might have toxemia so to the labor and delivery dept at the hospital we went.
After being there for about over 2 hrs of monitoring me, my blood pressure went down & all the labs they took came back normal. They released me. Even though I was having contractions they were not strong enough to keep me.
I have another appt next Friday. & if nothing has happened my doctor said we would start discussing inducing me.
Also when she checked my cervix I was at a 2, but still not thinning! That I find very annoying! Lol
Anyhow. Let's see how this week goes.

Ventura county fair

Last night military got in free to the fair and so we decided after deon got off work to head over and let marek go on some rides & also eat some fair food;) I was on a mission to find some Indian fry bread' and I found it and it was so yummy!!
Marek really had a wonderful time going on the rides, and the lines were not bad so it was perfect! We also walked around for a bit and looked at some animals... Marek wanted to pry them ;)
We did a lot of walking & I am hoping it helped in the baby department. Our appt is later this afternoon.

39 weeks photo

38 week check up...

It was this past Friday. And I left that appointment frustrated and needing a nap!
So my doctor checked my cervix and said I am maybe barely a 2 on the outside and still a 0 on the inside. She said if I don't progress more by my next appt she can try to scrap my membranes.. But said it would be much more painful then when she just checks me.. And might I say this appts check was super painful. I think it was because I had Marek with me and he had not been listening in the waiting room..( which my appt was at 11 and I didn't get seen til 11;45) I am sure it was more painful because I was so tense. Hopefully deon can watch marek this Friday at my next appt.
I haven't really had much in the way of contractions. But I hope to see progress.
