First Annual Rocky Mountain Jamboree
We had a gathering of family and friends at Lava Hot Springs Idaho over the weekend. I would say all in all it was a fairly good get together. There were about forty people that showed up for some good times and family fun.
The weather wasn't great but it was a site better than it was the last time we were there. It seemed to start off cold but by the time Monday rolled around it was fairly warm. We took in the sites and shops in the small town. If you have about an hour and a half you can get your palm read. There was a small water park which made for big fun but if it was too cold to do that then there was the hot springs to keep us toasty.
On the second day we went up to Pebble Creek to do some four-wheeling on our quads and bikes. It was a blast. It was snowing when we arrived but as it warmed our cold dirt turned into good mud. I think that our quad had about four inches of mud caked on every surface. It didn't help that Leon made it his mission to see just how muddy he could make it. ha ha
Most everyone ended up taking off on Sunday but we hung around until Monday. All in all a good trip. I do think, however, that we will be making the Second Annual Rocky Mountain Jamboree at the end of June just to be on the safe side.
