On Sunday we headed to Portland, OR for Deon's annual Award Banquet. The Drive is Long, But the scenery was breath taking once we got into Oregon. So pretty following along the Columbia River. We arrived in Portland Sunday night, just ordered room service and went to be. Monday, Deon had training most of the day so... Me and another Navy Wife Briana went looking around at a bunch of shops. Wishing we had them all in Twin Falls. Tuesday we went to Ikea ( so Fun) then that night we had the banquet. It was nice to see everyone getting recognized. Deon's station got Local Leads Station of the Year( got the Gov vehicle wrapped in Navy stuff- really cool!) and then they also won Small Station of the Year (Got a shield) Their command is the IronMen. They all looked so nice in Uniform. I am glad that I was able to make the trip this year. I met some new Navy Wife Friends and enjoyed time with our little family.
