When God Created the Navy Wife...

The good Lord was creating a model for Navy wives and was into his sixth day of overtime when an angel appeared. She said, "Lord, you seem to be having a lot of trouble with this one. What’s wrong with the standard model?"

The Lord replied, "Have you seen the specs on this order? She has to be completely independent, possess the qualities of both father and mother, be a perfect hostess to four or forty with an hour’s notice, run on black coffee, handle every emergency imaginable without a manual, be able to carry on cheerfully, even if she is pregnant or disabled and has a flu, and then she must be willing to move to a new location ten times in seventeen years. And oh, yes, she must have six pairs of hands".

The angel shook her head. "Six pairs of hands? No way". The Lord continued, "Don’t worry, we will make other Navy wives to help her. And we will give her an unusually strong heart so it can swell with pride of her husband’s achievements, sustain the pain of separations, beat soundly when it is overworked and tired, and be large enough to say, "I understand, when she doesn’t, and say "I love you", regardless.

"Lord", said the angel, touching his arm gently, "go to bed and get some rest. You finish this tomorrow". I can’t stop now, said the Lord, "I am so close to creating something unique. Already this model heals herself when she is sick, can put up six unexpected guests for the weekend, wave goodbye to her husband from the pier, a runway or depot, and understand why it’s important that he leave".

The angel circled the model of the Navy wife, looked at it closely and sighed, "it looks fine, but its too soft". "She might look soft", the Lord replied, "but she has the strength of a lion. You would not believe what she can endure".

Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek of the Lord’s creation. "There’s a leak", she announced. "Something is wrong with the construction. I am not surprised that it has cracked. You are trying to put too much into this model".

The Lord appeared offended at the angel’s lack of confidence. "What you see is not a leak", he said, "it’s a tear". "A tear? What is it there for?", asked the angel. The Lord replied, "Its for joy, sadness, pain, disappointment, loneliness, pride and dedication to all the values that she and her husband held dear".

"You are a genius!", exclaimed the angel. The Lord looked puzzled and replied, "I didn’t put it there".

For those of you whom don't already know, after being able to enjoy living in Twin Falls for over 3 yrs, Deon in now been assigned new orders. He is back stationed in southern California. We have decided that for now Me & Marek are going to stay here in Idaho. My sister Taija has moved up to keep me company, and I am so very thankful for her!
Deon left last week to Cali, and then leaves Cali this week to go out and meet up with the Air Craft Carrier that his Command is currently deployed on. It was hard saying good bye, I think one if the hardest yet. Having a child in the mix really does change things. But we can't wait for the deployment to finish up so that we can go down ans spend some time with Daddy :)
So that is our life right now. Living each day as they come. I thank my neighbors & close friends who have already started helping me out with a few things. Like replacing a light switch that was shorting out, I havent yet learned to do my own electrical. LOL.
I love my husband with all my heart & soul. and I miss him already, and its true not every one can be a military wife it takes a different breed. It is hard when they have to be gone, but so much fun when they are home. I wouldnt have it any other way.
XOXO Hunny

26...

That's right I had another birthday, Man I'm getting old. :) But I dont feel it. I actually feel young, Sometimes I feel to young to have a 1 1/2 year old, and when I look in the mirror I feel like a young girl is looking back, I have thought of changing my hair style. Maybe that will make me feel & look my age . But then Deon reminds me that Its good to feel and look young, do it as long as I can. :) so I guess I need to imbrance it. It just strange to me because I am watching American Idol and half of them are my age or younger and they look older then me ( in a good way) I think I maybe just need to dress more like an adult. LOL.
Anyhow, for those who dont know, My birthday was March 20th, Yes I am late posting about it. :)
My Mom, brother Damen and his girlfriend Angela drove up to our house from Utah. after they came into town we headed on the road to Boise. We got a hotel room for the night. It was alot of FUN! We went to dinner at Joes crab shack, where we meet up with Deon's cousin Amber and her Hubby Rob, and then our friends James & Keri.  After dinner it was getting late, we went back to the room, got Marek ready for bed & in Bed. then We stayed in the room, and all rented a movie, had some snacks and hung out, Low key and fun! My good friend Steff came over to the room also to visit.
Really couldnt have asked for a better time. Thanks to everyone that helped my celebrate :)

and guess what I got from Deon & Marek ...a Pandora Bracelet :) I love it!

Giving THanks...

I have so many things to be Thankful ... these past 3 years have had many ups and downs. starting back 3 years ago in Oct, I was at my bff's wedding, and not doing well at all! I still feel guilty that I couldnt function and be there for her more. Shortly after her wedding I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with MS. I lost all motor functions, and being on steirrods( which change you, beyond belief) My whole world was turned upside down. I relearned everything, and had unbelevable support, My friends & family are so wonderful. It took me a while to learn everything again. I am still learning. After about a year, I was clear to start tryin to get pregnant, and we got pregnant on the first shot, which was truely a miracle from above. I thank god everyday for my Son. When we first got stationed in Twin Falls, I kind of felt like, I wished we were in Ut, But I have a new change of heart, though I still wish I could be closer to loved ones, I have learned who real friends are, and become very close to my Husband. They say that MS ripes marriages apart, the spouse just decides they can do it anymore, can handle the worry and cant sometimes go threw the challenges, I am so lucky that me & deon grew closer instead of apart. I am very thankful for my family. I am thankful for my friends, though sometimes not always close to them, I pray for them everyday, I pray for their happiness and for the Lord to help them threw their struggles.
I know that THanksgiving is to give thanks to all things! and I would hope that all things and people that I am thankful for feel my thanks daily.
I know that u usually do new years rebuliding of your life and set new goals, But I have set new ones more recently. I am trying to be a better wife( I think u are always working on that) and also working on being the best Mommy that I can be, I know that some times, I am so tired, But I must push myself because I never know when the time will come that I releapse and that day to me is a scary day. I am working on tryin to be a better friend, I have let some friends down and I am trying to get things back to normal... if there is a Normal. :) I guess I would just hope that all my family and Friends know how much they mean to me!
I am thankful that my husband has a great job and that we are able to do the things that we get to do. I thank him for his service and sacrifes. He is my Hero. I also just wanted to say that I am thank ful again for my son. If you are a parent you know how I feel, every moment is a blessing. I was watching Marek walk with Deon to the mailbox today and he is growing to quickly, I am trying to take everyday in with laughter and a smile. and I am thankful for my Mom, Even when we disagree, we always love each other. I am so thankful that I have the relationship I have with her. I also just want my best friend to know that I am thankful that we have been friends for so long. I look up to her so much, she is one of the strongest women I know. though sometimes I know that she doesnt feel strong, she is. I love her and I love all the wonderful memories we have made. I pray that the Lord watches over her and her family.
Thanks to all of u who enjoy my blog, and I am going to start to post alot more often.
God bless you and I pray that U have a wonderful holiday season!

DisneyLand!!!

What a fantastic Week we had in California. I never like the drive, but I love seeing our family and friends, so I guess it is a Must! :) The first night we stayed the night at Briana's house. She made us yummy pasta and then even a great breakfast. After that we headed to Pt. Mugu. and stayed with our friends Regina and Jesse. I am glad we came when we did because jesse was getting ready to transfer to Hawaii.Monday we made our way to ....Disneyland! I was so excited..I have never been. and Yes not even when we lived there for 3 yrs. lol. So it was more for me then for Marek. though we know he enjoyed it s well. His fav ride was the winnie the pooh ride. :)
I also have to say that If u know me , you know that I dont do roller coasters. I hate the way they make me feel. But since we were in Disneyland I had to do some..with much urging from Deo. I went on Splash mt. and space mt. They were not bad. Space mt made me sick. :)
So also we stayed in a condo pretty close to the park with Deon's cousin Amber, he hubby Rob and there adorable kids, Emma, vince and Sophia. It was so fun and Marek loved hangin out with all the kids. On Tues night...deon got food posioning, He was vomitting like every 30 mins, all night. He really should have gone to the ER. it was that bad!
Weds, he was still not doing great, We were heading to Uncle Mikes, so he drove until we were out of LA, and then I drove to Carlsbad. We stayed the night, and then thursday after noon, he headed to Uncle Dan and Aunt Kristy's house. We stayed there until sunday morning. We had such a great time visiting with all the cousin's. I wish I would have gotten more photos while we were at their house. :)
Sunday we drove back to Twin, What a long drive again, and super windy.
We will be heading to Cali again soon. Deon is transfering to Pt. Mugu in Feb & then getting deployed..I am not looking forward to that at all, but I just think of all the postives and It makes it a lil better. :) I will be staying in Twin while he is away. :)
Anyhow hope u enjoy are pictures!
