Graduation

Our little man graduated from Preschool!!!

We are so very proud of him! He is very excited to start kindergarten in August.

A big boy...

I think It is safe to say that our big boy is #1 potty trained! You still have to ask him to go ( or remind him) but has has been accident free!! wakes up from naps dry & from bed at night dry!

I have still been putting a pull up on at night just in case, but I think i will be putting him to bed in just under ware within a week.

We are still working on #2. but If i pay attention to his signs that he is needing to go poop then I have been able to catch him in time to put him on the potty. Hopefully soon we can say 100% potty trained!

Adventures in potty training...

 Well the time has come... I had decided to really nip this in the butt the month of April! since we didn't really have any huge plans & we wouldn't have any visitors so I could focus on being at the house.

   I started Yesterday, I had asked a lot of friends for advice & then also read up on it in one of my favorite books "Toddler Wise" ( side note: both "Toddler Wise" & "Baby Wise" have been such huge helps..If u are pregnant and in the market for a good book to help get the baby on a schedule I highly recommend it! ) back to what I was talking about...I started our journey on Thursday.

   After we had breakfast I told him we were gonna say good bye to diapers. We tried to sit on the little potty ( training potty) and go with nothing at first. So I set the timer and told him every 15 mins we were gonna go sit on the potty. Well after a morning of accidents, I decided to go with a different approach that D's' cousin said she used with her son. Put him in front of the TV on the potty and he can watch anything he wants...What a huge difference! He went potty a whole bunch of times! He did pee the bed at nap time but I was expecting it. Last night he did sleep with a training diaper. But I limited his fluid intake about 6pm and he woke up almost all the way dry!

   So we had a few places to run to this morning, so still in a training diaper til we got home, but ever since we have been back he has gone on his little potty! its still in the front room for now, but he knows where it is and has gone to it when  needing to pee or was already sitting on it. He loves telling me after he goes pee and we go to the toilet and dump the pee..plus after I give him 4 jelly beans ( I never give him candy, so he knows its an extra special treat.)..so its almost nap time & only 1 accident. poop on the hardwood , but he came right to me to tell me about it, which I was very proud of! I hope every day gets better & better! fingers crossed!

  Maybe we will even be potty trained when Daddy comes home next Friday! :)

When the camera comes out Marek either shows off or runs to hide..lol! We sure love this crazy lil guy!

the Day of Love..

I know this post is a little late, but am finally getting around to uploading some photos from my camera :)
these are just a few photos I took on Valentines Day morning.
I made Marek homemade Red Velvet pancakes. Marek is a luck kid, he got a Valentine in the mail from his grandma & his nana. Plus a mickey movie from mom & dad!

A few nights ago I decided it was time that I take Marek's 2 Year old photos, and because I wanted to be able to mail some prints to D out on the ship. So we went to old town and played..and I must say, they turned out so CUTE! 

I know his birthday isn't until next month, but i thought I would share what a handsome little 2 year old we have!

21 Months Old...

What a big boy Marek is becoming. He is just becoming more and more of a toddler and less and less of a little baby. (*tears) He loves helping me in anyway he can. and It is also nice that now he can pretty much communnicate what he wants and tell me things or if I ask him he will tell me Yes or No for things he wants, It is wonderful! He is also a really great eater, I love that! and He is recently decided that he wants to eat just like the big people so if his plate doesnt look just like your he wont eat his plate, he will want yours! and he wont eat without a fork or spoon. It is just too cute!
He loves to play with other Kids, go outside, take baths, brush teeth, loves shoes, Trucks, and chasing the puppy around the house.
We are having a blast with each passing day.
Today we had to go to the doctor because he is under the weather, but we were able to get a weight while we where there which was nice. He weighs 26.6 lbs. which he is still thin and tall. just in the last week he has shot up like a bean stock, all his pant that were fitting are now Floods!! But it kills me to go buy new pants when its going to be summer ( I think.. LOL)  So come on summer and get here so my little boy can where shorts already!!
I cant believe he is going to be 2 in august! Its just sad!
